India launched Operation Sindoor, as a retaliation to the Pahalgam Terror Attack. The Telugu film industry rose in solidarity with the armed forces. In this scenario, an old picture of NTR’s open letter during India Pakistan war in 1965 is going viral on social media.
The war, which lasted from August 5 to September 22 in 1965, ended with the Tashkent Agreement mediated by global powers.
Moved by the sacrifices of Indian soldiers and the urgency of the situation, NTR stepped beyond the screen and took an active role in rallying public support. He initiated a fundraising campaign for the National Defense Fund, conducting demonstrations across key centers of Andhra Pradesh.
“I have decided to hold demonstrations in important centers of Andhra Pradesh to raise funds for the defense of the country in support of the brave soldiers who are sacrificing their lives in a fierce battle against the evil enemy for our security and for the honor of the country. I am confident that the support of my fans, the blessings of the entire Andhra people, and the support of our industry will make this a success,” reads the letter.
Cut to the present, producer Allu Aravind announced that a portion of the revenue of #Single will be donated for the welfare of soldiers. Even Vijay Deverakonda also stepped forward to donate money for Indian Army.
