Manchu Manoj Reveals How Pawan Helped Him in Tough Times

Actor Manchu Manoj has recalled how Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has stood by him during challenging times in the past.

After getting separated from Pranati Reddy, Manoj had disappeared from the public glare for a brief period. Later it came to know that he was living in an ashram in Rishikesh. Later when he returned to Hyderabad he married Mounika Reddy, the elder daughter of politician late Bhuma Nagi Reddy. However, he continued to be away from films. Later, he started living in Chennai.

Speaking during an interview Manoj recently, the ‘Vedam’ actor recalled how Pawan Kalyan showed concern about him.

“When Pawan anna came to know that fights were taking place at home on several issues, he called me to enquire about my well-being. How am I doing? Why have I not been seen all these years? What am I upto? Then I told him that I am living in Chennai. He asked me why I went there. Then I told him that Mounika came into my life. I’m facing troubles in Hyderabad. That is the reason why I shifted to Chennai. zI told him that If I stay there for some time everything will be alright. Pawan anna told me not to worry. He asked me to meet him whenever I visit Chennai,” the actor said.

Manoj said Kalyan always wanted him to make a comeback on Telugu silverscreen. “Pawan anna was the first person to stand by me and supported me. I haven’t disclosed this ever before. During the shooting of Bheemla Nayak, he asked me to come there. We had a long discussion. I chided me for the way I was putting on weight. He told me to drop weight. That was the bonding we have,” he said. 

On the workfront, Manoj is getting ready for his forthcoming sci-fiction film titled Mirai. The film created quite a buzz for its visual grandeur and adventure. Manoj plays the antagonist in the film which is going to release in theatres in September this year.
