Is Rajendra Prasad Damaging His Own Reputation?

Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad has recently made headlines for the wrong reasons. At a public event celebrating SV Krishna Reddy’s birthday, his comments and actions on stage surprised many. He made inappropriate remarks involving comedian Ali, actress Nirosha, actress Roja, and actor Murali Mohan. These incidents sparked criticism, especially his comments about Ali, which caught the most attention.

The controversy deepened when Rajendra Prasad later defended his statements at another film function. Instead of acknowledging the backlash, he questioned the audience for misunderstanding him. “If you do not understand me, that is your fate. I cannot help it. If you find fault with me, it shows your upbringing,” he said.

This reaction upset many people, who felt that he should have taken responsibility. While Rajendra Prasad had previously apologized for his words in situations involving actor David Warner and indirect comments about the film Pushpa, he chose not to do so this time.

Some feel that he is tired of apologizing and has now turned his frustration toward the audience. However, many believe that blaming viewers, who supported him for decades, is unfair. These viewers are the same ones who continue to appreciate his performances and help him remain active in the film industry.

His remarks have hurt fans and social media users alike, many of whom feel disappointed by the way he handled the criticism. Some are even questioning whether his recent behavior reflects his real personality, contrary to the kind image he maintained in public all these years.

Meanwhile, Ali shared a video on social media asking people not to judge Rajendra Prasad too harshly. He explained that the actor has been going through a tough phase after losing his daughter, and that his recent behavior might be linked to that personal pain.

Those close to Rajendra Prasad are reportedly advising him not to react impulsively at public events. Still, he appears unwilling to take feedback seriously and instead continues to blame the audience, which may damage his image further.

If this pattern continues, there is a real risk that people may lose respect for him. As a respected figure in cinema, it is important that he reflects on his words and takes steps to mend the situation. Otherwise, this could mark the beginning of a downturn in his public image.
