After a break since September 2023, Pawan Kalyan will resume shooting for Ustaad Bhagat Singh starting June 12. Earlier reports suggested the film was a loose remake of the Tamil hit Theri, but the makers have now confirmed that the remake idea has been dropped. The film will follow an original script approved by Pawan Kalyan.
This change comes after the recent box office performance of director Harish Shankar’s Mr. Bachchan, the Telugu remake of Raid starring Ravi Teja, which didn’t meet expectations. Taking this into account, the team decided to rework Ustaad Bhagat Singh to offer a fresh story.
The next shooting schedule will take place at Koti Women’s College and an aluminum factory, where key scenes are planned.
On another note, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu has been postponed from its original June 12 release date. The new release date will be announced soon. Ustaad Bhagat Singh is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with music by Devi Sri Prasad.
