Aamir Khan Breaks The Silence On Film With Lokesh

Bollywood star Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he would be part of a superhero film which will be directed by south filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. 

Responding to this news on social media, Aamir confirmed that he is working on a film under the superhero genre. He said the film is a big scale action flick which will go on floors in the second half of 2026.

Meanwhile, fans started expressing their excitement over how north film stars are showing interest to team up with south filmmakers. Social media is abuzz as the topic started trending on North-South collaboration by bringing two heavyweights from Bollywood and Tamil cinema under one roof.

Since Lokesh is known for his action-packed works Kaithi, Master, Vikram and Leo, fans are anticipating that the superhero film will be a treat for entire pan-India audiences. Aamir is equally known for his perfectionism and his deep involvement in the process of filmmaking.

The production of the film is likely to begin at the end of 2026. But a few reports say that the film will only go on floors in 2027 after Lokesh completes ‘Kaithi 2’.

Meanwhile, Aamir is busy working on the biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke with director Rajkumar Hirani. It is also learnt that Aamir has keenly expressed his interest in developing sequels for ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, and ‘Sarfarosh’.
