Kuberaa, Richest Man Vs Poorest Man: Producers

Sensible director Sekhar Kammula is coming up with a social drama Kuberaa with Dhanush, Nagarjuna in leads. Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh essayed pivotal roles.

Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao produced the movie which is due for release on the 20th of this month.

The producers revealed that the movie Kuberaa materialized, right after the release of Love Story. “Sekhar Kammula narrated this concept to us, and he believed Dhanush would be perfect for the role. After hearing the story for just 20 minutes, Dhanush immediately signed on. That’s when the project officially took off.”

They are very much confident about the outcome of the movie. “Though Kuberaa is a straight Telugu and Tamil film, it will be dubbed and released in Hindi. The first copy is already ready, and the film has turned out brilliantly.”

The producers disclosed the real conflict of the movie. “It’s the contrast between the richest man in the world and the poorest man on the streets. That’s the central conflict.”

They also spoke about finally collaborating with Nagarjuna. “We had always wanted to work with Nagarjuna. The moment he heard the story, he loved it and delivered a stellar performance. It’s hard to imagine anyone else in that role.”

They affirm that shooting in real locations was always a challenge. “We shot in actual slums, garbage dumps, and dumping yards. Filming in Mumbai, especially on real streets, was particularly tough.”

The producers also revealed that they are planning to do another movie with Sekhar Kammula, although hero is yet to be finalized.
