Chikitu From Coolie – Different Vibe Altogether

Superstar Rajinikanth and music director Anirudh hits a different vibe every time they collaborate. Be it the Jailer theme or the Hunter song, everything that Anirudh composes gives an adrenaline rush to Rajini’s fans. They are now working on Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Interestingly, the team released the first single Chikitu. But, the vibe of the song is different from what we usually expect.

The song is definitely good enough to vibe but it is not a big party banger or a mass anthem that can be played all the time. Chikitu has a different vibe and it is restricted to only a few situations. Already, the song’s teaser has come long back with TR Rajender giving the vocals. In fact, that beginning of the song is the heart but later, it transitions on to a different mode, with TR’s vocals running in the background.

Everyone expected Chikitu to be a fast paced beat song going by what TR has teased earlier. But, it is a slow song to which everyone can not vibe. It is not foot tapping either. People may like it in repeats but a strong song needed to boost up the film’s hype.

Usually, Lokesh’s films lack the hype in terms of music despite. However this time, they have to deliver more, keeping the expectations in mind.

Coolie is hitting the screens on August 14th.
