Jani Master’s Controversy Haunts Nayanthara Couple

Choreographer Jani was arrested in a POCSO case but was later released on conditional bail. Reportedly, he admitted to the allegations against him but he has denied them completely when he spoke with the media. However, the victim also shared her side of the story with the media after Jani was released on bail. Now, his association with Vignesh Shivn is resulting in criticism against him as well as his wife Nayanthara.

Vignesh Shivn shared a picture with Jani on social media as they collaborated together for the film Love Insurance Kompany. The picture went viral catching the attention of many feminists, social activists and other movie goers. Especially, singer Chinmayi also took to social media calling out Vignesh Shivn.

“Jani is out on conditional bail involving a minor’s sexual assault. We as a people seem to love ‘talented’ offenders and will keep promoting them and keeping them in positions of power which the offenders use to harangue the women more – “See nothing will happen to me.” It is just how we are,” wrote Chinmayi.

There are a few others on social media who are also questioning the double standards of Nayanthara who poses as someone standing by the hard working women.

On the other hand, people advice to Vignesh Shivn to be careful since his actions will bring damage to Nayan’s image.

Meanwhile, the major production houses and directors in Telugu cinema reportedly started looking for alternate options and the association they used to have with Jani came down.
