Aamir’s Cameo Announced: The Real ‘War’ Begins!

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie is one of the prestigious films being made in the country right now. With Lokesh Kanagaraj helming the megaphone, the presence of stars like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and others raised the curiosity surrounding the film. However, the icing on the cake is the announcement that Aamir Khan also features in the film. Today, the team released Aamir’s look from the film, creating buzz around him and the project. He will be seen as Dahaa in the movie.

With Coolie set to clash with War 2, on the occasion of Independence day, there will be a competition with both the films. While Rajinikanth is standing on one side, the other side is taken by NTR and Hrithik Roshan jointly. Team War 2 is spending a huge amount on the film’s promotions to make sure that the film gets the highest opening. Reportedly, they already started blocking the theatres, leaving no room for Coolie to set their foot.

In such a scenario, team Coolie is hopeful that Aamir Khan’s cameo would bring a special attention towards their film. Aamir has done special appearances in several Hindi films so far but this is the first time that he played a cameo in a South Indian film, that too a project starring Superstar Rajinikanth. Though Rajini enjoys a craze in Hindi industry, the director and the star cast is relatively not so big in North. So, they are naturally inclined towards War 2.

But, team Coolie is determined to divert that attention towards them by releasing Aamir’s look from the film. It is also seen as a statement from the team that Aamir will not just be seen for a few minutes as a guest but has a role to play in the narrative. If they could also involve Aamir during the promotions furthermore, the focus will automatically get shifted to Coolie.

So, it is crucial now for Sun Pictures to plan things cleverly to not push the limelight entirely on to War 2.
