Heroine’s Thank You Note Misses ‘Kannappa’!

Preity Mukundhan is the Tamil heroine who shot to fame with Sai Abhyankar’s Aasai Kooda song. Prior to that, she was seen in a film with Kavin in Star. When Nupur Sanon quit Kannappa, the makers roped in Preity to play the character Nemali. However, Preity was not seen during the film’s promotions, and it is unclear if it was the decision of the makers or the heroine might have distanced herself from the campaign. But, she thanked everyone for the recognition of her role and surprisingly, did not mention the name of the film – Kannappa.

Sharing her experience of acting in the film and stepping into the shoes of Nemali, Preity wrote, “There are times in life when words feel both inadequate and essentia, lwhen love surrounds you so unexpectedly. These last few days have been exactly that for me. To everyone who has sent love, recognition, and warmth my way, you have no idea how happy your words have made me.”

The actress added, “For six months, I lived and breathed as this character, struggling to learn my craft and cope with the physical intensity I had to endure. And to know that this has found
its way to you all makes every sleepless night and every moment of doubt feel worthwhile. There’s something beautiful about being seen, for work that came from the deepest wells of your being.”

Preity wrote, “I was merely two weeks old as an actor on sets, and to have stood alongside some of the most celebrated people in our industry has been nothing short of extraordinary, especially knowing that I was just beginning to find my wings. I’m still fangirling over my memories. I’ve made so so many beautiful friends in this journey and met the most inspiring people, which I’ll forever be grateful for.
To all the people who have made this possible for me, I’m immensely grateful.”

“Also, thhank you to every one of you for taking the time out to show me love and message me, I’m soooo happy. So so much love to you all 💕:’)
🦚” she concluded.

Not in a single line did she mentioned the name of the film, or the film’s lead Manchu Vishnu or the film’s production house. Even before the film released, there were speculations that the heroine was not in good terms with the production unit because of which she skipped the promotions. None spoke about her character during the promotions which also added fuel to the speculations. And now, this post on social media without taking names is also adding as an evidence to the rumor that something is not well.

However, with the film’s run coming to an end soon, this element about heroine’s zero participation in promotions will not carry any curiosity furthermore.

Kannappa was released on June 27th and opened to mixed reviews, appreciating Vishnu’s performance in the film.
