Vijay Deverakonda missed a jackpot in Kuberaa

If the news that’s coming from the industry circle is to be believed Telugu sensation Vijay Devarakonda would be cursing for his decision on declining the role in Sekhar Kammula’s blockbuster flick Kuberaa.

The central role Deva in the recently released film featuring Dhanush as beggar was first offered to Vijay Devarakonda.

However the ‘Dear comrade’ actor declined the offer assuming that audience might not receive him as beggar in the film.

The actor Vijay was the first actor to be approach by the makers as Sekhar Kammula wanted an actor who has mass appeal.

But Vijay Devarakonda was apprehensive as how his core audience would recieve him as a beggar.

Although Vijay had work with Shekhar Kamala in the past for the film ‘Life is beautiful’, the actor had inhibitions about the role as he had felt that the character might become a misfit to him at this point of career. Vijay is currently reeling with back to back flops and he thought it would not be worth accepting a role of this kind.

So subsequently the role was latched up by actor Dhanush. The film went on to collect a massive Rs. 120 crores soon after it released across the globe. Dhanush is being raved for his performance.
