Tamil cinema continues to see directors stepping into acting, and the latest to join the list is Tourist Family director Abishan Jeevinth. As per the latest buzz, Abishan is set to make his debut as a lead actor with a film titled Corrected Machi.
While an official announcement is yet to be made, sources suggest that the project is in the early stages of development. The film will reportedly be directed by Abishan’s associate, who worked as the co-director on Tourist Family.
Adding to the buzz, young actress Anaswara Rajan is said to be playing the female lead. Known for her work in films like Super Sharanya and Thugs, Anaswara is gradually making her mark in Tamil cinema.
Abishan joins a growing list of Tamil directors exploring acting. Recently, Pradeep Ranganathan made his successful acting debut with Love Today, while Lokesh Kanagaraj has also confirmed plans to act, though his debut is yet to happen.
Details about Corrected Machi, including its genre and storyline, are still under wraps. The project is expected to go on floors soon, with the rest of the cast and technical crew likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
