2025 Second Half: One Pan-India Film A Month

The first half of 2025 was nothing but a flop, with less than a handful of hits at the box office. But the second half looks promising, with at least one pan-India film releasing mostly every month, except for November. Here is a look at such biggies.

1. July

Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated Hari Hara Veera Mallu will kickstart things on the 24th of this month. Directed by Jyothi Krisna and Krish Jagarlamudi, this period action drama is set in the Mughal era, where Pawan will be seen as a warrior fighting against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

2. August

In August, we are going to witness a huge clash at the box office between two pan-India biggies, Coolie and War 2. Both films will hit the screens on August 14. While War 2 is an action drama featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in lead roles, Coolie is a multi-starrer action extravaganza featuring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Satyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir and Shruti Haasan. This battle is going to be an epic for sure.

3. September

In September, we are going to have pan-India releases on multiple dates. While Teja Sajja’s highly anticipated Mirai will hit the screens on September 5, Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan are getting ready to clash at the box office with their respective films, Akhanda 2 and OG, on September 25. Both films will have are veing made in pan-India languages.

4. October

In October, Rishab Shetty will be arriving with the prequel of his super hit film, Kantara. Titled Kantara: Chapter 1 , this movie will hit the screens on October 2.

5. December

In December, we will witness a huge clash in North India between Prabhas’s The Raja Saab, Ranveer Singh’s Durandhar and Shahid Kapoor’s untitled film. All three films are slated for release on December 5. During Christmas, we will witness the release of the highly anticipated Avatar 3, along with Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s film Dacoit.

Apart from these biggies, we also have Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara, Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, Nikhil Siddhartha’s Swambhu and Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, which will release this year but haven’t confirmed their release dates yet.
