Can HHVM Set Day-One Records With Massive Ticket Hike?

Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu is all set to hit the screens on July 24. There will also be paid premieres across the Telugu states tomorrow night (July 23). The governments of both states approved a ticket price hike for this period action drama. The ticket prices in both states for paid premieres are capped at Rs. 600 + GST. The effective price will be around Rs. 708.

In Andhra Pradesh, the government approved a hike of Rs. 100 for the lower class, Rs. 150 for the upper class in single screens, and Rs. 200 for multiplexes for the first ten days. Effectively, the prices will be Rs. 297 for single screens and Rs. 377 in multiplexes. In Telangana, the government approved an increase of Rs. 200 (excluding GST) in multiplexes and Rs. 150 (excluding GST) in single screens. The effective prices will be Rs. 354 in single screens and Rs. 531 in multiplexes. With these high ticket hikes, it has to be seen if Hari Hara Veera Mallu will surpass the day-one collections of pan-India biggies that were released in the last couple of years.

In Nizam, with hiked prices, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 collected Rs. 25.30 crore (354 & 531 prices). NTR’s Devara earned Rs. 19.31 crore (295 & 413 prices) and Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD collected Rs. 16.30 crore (265 & 413 prices). Ram Charan’s Game Changer managed to earn Rs. 8.91 crore (277 & 445 prices).

In AP, Pushpa 2 earned Rs. 37.99 crore (300 & 377 prices) on the first day. Devara collected Rs. 34.77 crore (257 & 312 prices). Kalki and Game Changer earned Rs. 21.79 crore (236 & 325 prices) and Rs. 22.17 crore (282 & 352 prices) respectively.

Even Hari Hara Veera Mallu got a huge hike like Pushpa 2. So, we have to see if this Pawan Kalyan-starrer manages to surpass the mentioned big films’ collections on the first day.
