If we look at the recent turn of events, it is evident that the BRS is looking to spin anti-AP campaign in the state. It has reached a point where even Telugu films are being used to propagate this campaign, and more shockingly, it is happening right in front of KTR.
Incidentally, at a public event today, a hate campaign was publicly spun against Hari Hara Veera Mallu by BRS MLC Desapathi Srinivas and this saga happened right in front of KTR.
“Chief minister Revanth Reddy said he would not hike the prices of cinema ticket henceforth. But what did he do with Hari Hara Veera Mallu. He blatantly increased the prices for this film. How is this Veera Mallu different from any other film? It is just because of the fact that Kalyan, Chandrababu and Revanth Reddy, along with Narendra Modi are all together.”
It was further stated that the only aim of Revanth Reddy is to bring back the TDP flag in Telangana and he is doing everything to make it happen.
While the BRS MLC was making this public statement, KTR was seen laughing and acknowledging the same. This has become a topic of discussion already.
Linking cinema ticket prices topic to the prospect of bringing back TDP flag in Telangana is as preposterous as it can get, but that is the path that BRS has chosen now.
On a related note, it must be remembered that cinematography minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy had earlier said the government would consider permitting hikes for historically significant films. This is in tune with Veera Mallu now which is based on a famous Hindu rebellion against the oppressive Mughal rule. So it is evident that the Telangana government was always consistent with its decisions.
