Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming action film Madharaasi, directed by AR Murugadoss, is making all the right noises. After the powerful title teaser set good expectations, the makers have dropped the first single, Selavika, and it’s anything but a celebration of love failure.
Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Selavika blends sorrow with sass. The lyrics may speak of a breakup, but the beats are high-octane and loaded with positive energy. It’s heartbreak, but with groove, and Sivakarthikeyan brings it alive with his grace and style.
Lyricist Srinivasa Mouli pens lines that express pain with a playful undertone, while Dhanunjay Seepana delivers the vocals with infectious enthusiasm. Together, they turn a painful theme into a perfect tribute for everyone who has loved and lost.
Rukmini Vasanth is the leading lady in this movie produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies. As officially announced by the makers, Madharaasi is getting ready for release on September 5th.
