The Government of India announced the 71st National Film Awards on August 1, and Telugu films once again made a strong mark at the national level. Among the winners, young talent Sukrithi Veni Bandreddy won the Best Child Artist award for her role in the film ‘Gandhi Thaatha Chettu’.
Directed by Padmavathi Malladi and presented by Tabitha Sukumar under the banners of Sukumar Writings, Mythri Movie Makers, and Gopi Talkies, this heartwarming film is now getting national-level recognition.
‘Gandhi Thaatha Chettu’ tells an emotional and touching story. It revolves around a granddaughter’s deep love for her grandfather and her efforts to protect a tree that holds sentimental value.
