After two back-to-back underwhelming performances, Vijay Deverakonda has made a strong comeback with Kingdom. The film generated impressive buzz right from its release and pulled in a massive ₹39 crore gross on its opening day, once again proving Vijay’s enduring star power.
Despite stiff competition from Mahavatar Narasimha and the Kannada film Su from So, Kingdom stood tall during its opening weekend. What surprised many was not just its resilience in Telugu states, but also its better-than-expected performance in Tamil and Malayalam markets, especially when compared to Vijay’s previous releases.
This revival marks a solid rebound for Vijay, showing that a good blend of mass appeal, solid content, and fan support is enough to beat even the toughest box office battles.
