As recently announced by the makers, Anupama Parameswaran’s next outing Paradha will be gracing the theatres on August 22nd. Already the glimpse and songs released from the movie made good impression. Today, Ram Pothineni released the theatrical trailer.
Subbu is a young woman trapped by the suffocating patriarchal traditions of her village. Refusing to accept a predetermined fate, she makes a courageous decision to leave everything behind. What starts as a liberating road trip with Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha’s characters soon takes a dark turn.
Anupama delivers a wonderful performance, capturing her character’s weakness and strength with raw honesty. Her compelling portrayal is backed by equally strong performances from Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha. Director Praveen Kandregula sheds light on deeply ingrained cultural practices.
Mridul Sujit Sen’s cinematography is remarkable, while Gopi Sundar’s stirring background score adds to the film’s serious mood. Produced by Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV, and Sridhar Makkuva, and presented by Raj & DK, Paradha looks grand.
The trailer looks promising and sets good expectations for the movie scheduled for release. On August 22nd.
