Ten years ago, Baahubali: The Beginning changed the face of Indian cinema. S.S. Rajamouli’s vision set new benchmarks for scale, storytelling, and visual brilliance in Telugu films, paving the way for Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which went on to shatter box office records and win over a pan-India audience.
Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, the two-part saga didn’t just rewrite records,it expanded the reach of Telugu cinema across the country and beyond.
Now, the makers are bringing the magnum opus back in a never-seen-before format. Both parts have been re-edited into a single cut titled Baahubali: The Epic, set for a grand worldwide release on October 31, 2025, coinciding with Prabhas’ birthday week and the film’s 10th anniversary year.
With a runtime of about 3 hours and 45 minutes, this version trims select scenes and songs, adds unseen footage, and aims to deliver the story as one seamless narrative instead of two separate films.
Fans won’t have to wait until October to get a taste. A roughly one-minute teaser of Baahubali: The Epic will hit theaters from August 14, attached to the releases of Coolie and War 2. The makers plan to screen it with both films across India and overseas.
This re-release offers audiences a fresh way to experience the saga, while introducing a new generation to why Baahubali remains one of the most celebrated films in Telugu cinema.
