Param Sundari Trailer: Bollywood Rom-Com With North-South Touch

After losing its track over the last few years, Bollywood is slowly returning to its stronghold, romantic dramas and romantic comedies. In July, we witnessed a successful Bollywood romantic drama in the form of Saiyaara. Now, in August, Siddharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor are arriving with their latest romantic comedy, Param Sundari.

Directed by Tushar Jalota, Param Sundari is a romantic comedy produced by Maddock Films. Today, the makers unveiled the film’s trailer, and going by it, Param Sundari appears to be a classic romantic comedy, giving vintage Bollywood vibes. It showcases the love story of a North Indian man and a South Indian woman.

Param Sachdev (Siddharth Malhotra) falls for Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor) during a trip to Kerala. How he manages to win her love and convince not just Sundari but her entire community seems to be the crux of the film.

The trailer is packed with funny one-liners and features the blockbuster song Pardesiya playing in the background. Janhvi’s monologue about South Indian film industries and their heroes Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Allu Arjun and Yash, at the end of the trailer is undoubtedly one of its highlights.

Though this is their first film together, Siddharth and Janhvi share good on-screen chemistry. Their pairing seems to be one of the major attractions of the movie. Sachin-Jigar’s music has already become a hit and will play a big role in bringing audiences to theatres.

Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran’s cinematography is exquisite. Overall, Param Sundari looks like an engaging romantic comedy entertainer that will appeal to both youth and family audiences. It is slated for a worldwide release on August 29.
