Watch: Murthy garu’s One of the Most Honest Interview On Gulte Pro

Veteran filmmaker R. Narayana Murthy, known for his strong social films, is once again coming with a hard-hitting subject. His upcoming film University Paper Leak, releasing on August 22, 2025, focuses on the serious issue of question paper leaks in India’s education system.

In an exclusive Gulte Pro interview, which looks like one of the most purest and genuine interviews in recent times, Murthy revealed that the film was inspired by real scams like the Vyapam scandal in Madhya Pradesh and recent exam paper leaks in states such as Gujarat, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi. He said these leaks destroy the real purpose of education and cause pain, depression, and even suicides among students. According to him, copying and cheating are worse than “atom bombs or tsunamis” because they destroy knowledge.

Murthy strongly criticized the privatization of education. He said many private colleges treat education as a business and exploit parents by charging heavy fees with false promises. He recalled incidents where parents sold property and even organs to pay for education, only to see their children’s futures ruined by corruption. He also mentioned shocking cases like a girl being locked in a hostel room for not paying fees.

His solution is nationalizing education and healthcare. He believes government institutions must be strengthened, as education and jobs are fundamental rights. He warned that privatization of sectors like education, healthcare, and railways would push the poor into further trouble while making a few people richer.

The filmmaker also spoke about the language debate. While he supports English education to help students compete globally, he insists mother tongues like Telugu should also be respected. He opposed the forceful imposition of Hindi and stressed a balanced approach to empower rural and urban students alike.

Murthy said University Paper Leak is not just a film but a movement for change. He wants the government to punish those behind leaks, provide psychological support to students, and ensure fair opportunities for all. He also reminded the public to use their vote wisely and support a stronger public education system.

With this film, Murthy continues his four-decade-long journey of using cinema as a weapon against injustice. He hopes University Paper Leak will awaken society and push for much-needed reforms in education.
