The controversy surrounding Anantapur Urban MLA Daggubati Prasad’s remarks against Jr NTR has taken a serious turn, with fans refusing to calm down even after the MLA released a selfie video denying the leaked audio and offering an apology.
Fans initially staged protests in Anantapur and later tried to organize press meets in different cities, but police restrictions stopped them. Finally, a massive press meet was held at Somajiguda Press Club in Hyderabad, where NTR fans came together in large numbers to issue a clear ultimatum to the MLA.
The fans demanded that Prasad must make a public apology in Anantapur itself, in front of media and NTR fans, instead of releasing videos from behind closed doors. They also insisted that the person whom the MLA allegedly threatened over the phone should be brought before the gathering, and that an apology must be made not just to NTR but also to his mother.
Warning that they would not remain silent, fans declared that if the MLA fails to apologize publicly, they will play the controversial audio clips in Anantapur through DJ systems for everyone to hear.
They also raised a pointed question to the TDP, reminding that NTR belongs to TDP and so do they, but asking why the MLA who insulted NTR’s mother has not yet been suspended. While clarifying that this issue has nothing to do with Chandrababu Naidu or Lokesh, fans demanded strict disciplinary action against Prasad, calling his remarks a personal attack driven by his own agenda.
