Kollywood’s young hero, Pradeep Ranganathan, who is riding high on the consecutive successes of Love Today and Dragon, may find himself in a tricky situation with two releases this Diwali. As of now, his upcoming films, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) and Dude, are gearing up for Diwali release.
Earlier, Love Insurance Kompany was slated for a September release while Dude confirmed its arrival for Diwali. However, the makers of LIK have recently announced that the film would hit theatres on October 17. Right after that announcement, Dude’s producers announced that their film would also be released during Diwali.
This is definitely a tricky situation for Pradeep to have two releases at the same time. In the end, he would be the one who would be affected by this clash. Thus, it remains to be seen if any film moves out of Diwali or both decide to clash at the box office.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan, LIK features Krithi Shetty as the female lead. Nayanthara and SS Lalit Kumar are bankrolling the project. On the other side, Dude is directed by newcomer Keerthiswaran. It features Mamitha Baiju as the leading lady. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the project.
