After Kamal, Nag Ashwin To Direct Rajini?

Nag Ashwin is one of the successful filmmakers in the Indian cinema. Although he has made only three films so far, the kind of reception he attracted is phenomenal. Interestingly, he is occupied with the pre-production works of Kalki 2. However, there are speculations that he is in talks with Superstar Rajinikanth.

Nag Ashwin already directed the biggest of the stars, namely Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in Kalki. Now, he is set to direct Rajinikanth. Reportedly, Nag Ashwin pitched an idea to Rajinikanth, who seems to have liked it immensely. The actor asked the director to develop it further.

If the project takes off, the upcoming collaboration will mark Rajini’s team up with a Telugu director after a long time. Additionally, Nag Ashwin will also become one of the few directors who worked with both Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth like Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Nag Ashwin earned a reputation for going big, picking larger than life subjects and experiments. He will surely try to bring the best of Rajinikanth as well. As Nag Ashwin frequently collaborates with Vyjayanthi movies, he might do this film as well on the same banner.
