Fans on social media have started buzzing about a possible clash between Mahesh Babu’s SSMB29 and Allu Arjun’s AA22. But in reality, both films are still years away and a direct clash is very unlikely.
Rajamouli’s film with Mahesh is aiming for 2027, but the director is in no hurry to announce a release date until at least half the shoot is done. Mahesh himself is fully supportive, preferring quality over rushing.
On the other side, Allu Arjun’s project with Atlee is progressing fast with shooting, but it will need a very long post-production phase. With multiple leading actresses and different character shades for Bunny, the team is planning carefully to get the right output. A clearer release plan may come only by next summer.
Given the scale of both projects, they cannot release at the same time. Distributors and producers will definitely keep at least a two to three month gap between them.
So for now, all the talk about Mahesh vs Bunny is just unnecessary hype. Both films are massive pan-India ventures, and when they release, they will arrive on their own without competing head-to-head.
