Vetri Speaks on Vada Chennai 2, Fans Losing Patience

Vada Chennai is one of the super successful films in Tamil. Starring Dhanush in the lead role and directed by Vetri Maran, the film has become a big hit at the box office. Ever since, there has been noise about the film’s second part but to date, there is no clarity on the same.

In a recent event, Vetri Maran brought the discussion about the project once again, revealing that he will start the film soon. However, the reality is not too favourable for the director. The director currently has a project with Simbhu. An update on this project is expected to be out in the next ten to fifteen days.

Vetri Maran revealed that he will start working on a film with Dhanush, only after the completion of STR49, with Simbhu. For more than three years now, Vetri Maran has been assuring the fans about starting this film, but it has not happened yet.

Dhanush is moving on with other projects but he is also tight lipped about resuming the work on this sequel. Already, a cult fan status reached the film and so far, there is no concrete update on when the sequel actually takes a shape.

Both Dhanush and Vetri Maran have been avoiding the topic of the project unless they are compelled to share an update. There are rumors that the project may not happen with both the actor and director not arriving on the same page.

At least now, we hope that Vetri is speaking the truth to begin the project at the earliest.
