Exclusive: Phone Call With Anushka On Ghaati

Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati is gearing up for a grand release on the 5th of this month. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film marks his reunion with Anushka after Vedam. Anushka is not participating in the film’s promotions physically but is giving interviews on the digital front. During such an interaction with the media, we got a chance to ask her a couple of questions on the role she is playing in the film.

When asked about her reaction after listening to the story, Anushka revealed that she had connected to the character that Krish narrated. When Krish narrated this story, Anushka was so much fascinated that she got teared up on the other side and forgot to even give her consent that she will be doing the film. She kept asking questions about the story and the character.

Anushka remembers that a similar scenario happened back in time when Krish narrated the Saroja character from the film Vedam. Back then, Anushka also started asking questions about the plot instead of giving her consent to be a part of the film. Apparently, Krish joked with her that she has not changed.

On the other hand, Anushka is so much intrigued into the world of Ghaati and the character she is playing. She was very much connected to it from the day she heard the story. She also put up an intense performance in the film, which we can understand, going by the trailer.

Additionally, when we asked Anushka as to how Krish evolved as a filmmaker from the time he made Vedam to the current times where she worked with him on Ghaati. “I usually do not judge a person like that but Krish is a great story-teller and he outshined himself with the stories that he bring to the table,” said Anushka.

Ghaati will have a grand release on September 5th, along with Little Hearts and Madharaasi.
