Skipped MAD Role, Grabbed Lead Role!

Mouli Tanuj Prashanth needs no introduction to the Telugu Audiences who regularly watch Instagram reels. Mouli is a budding talent who used to make funny videos which are relatable and instantly bring a smile to our faces.

His take on everyday life and especially on father-son relationships is viral on the internet. He is now making his mainstream cinema debut with the upcoming film Little Hearts.

Interestingly, Mouli was offered to play Laddu character from the sequel of the successful film Mad. However, Tanuj declined the role as he was in a different phase at that point in time. In conversation with Gulte Pro, Tanuj revealed the same.

Tanuj was working on his own script at that point and he wanted to discontinue acting because of which, he chose to not do the film. Later, the film was released and the character clicked on the big screen. Had Mouli accepted it, that role would have brought him a lot of name and fame. But, he declined it for the reasons best known to him.

Now, the brighter side is that because he declined that role, he got to play the main lead in Little Hearts. Had Tanuj mesmerized everyone with the Laddu character, the filmmakers would have immediately typecast him by offering similar characters. But, Tanuj was clever enough to not get stereotypical in the process and decided to wait for the better opportunities.

Interestingly, his role in the 90s series helped him reach a lot of families. With almost the same team, he is now coming up with Little Hearts, on which there is a positive buzz in the film industry.

The film is hitting the screens on September 5th.
