Of late, Hollywood films have been getting a huge reception in India, thanks to the incredible theatrical experience they have been offering this year. Earlier this year, we saw films like Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, F1, Jurassic World: Rebirth and Superman. It is the latest release, Conjuring: The Last Rites, which opened to a huge response in India.
Conjuring: The Last Rites is the final part of the successful Conjuring franchise, and surprisingly, the advance sales of this movie in India are incredible. Last night, paid premieres were held in selected metro cities, and the response was huge. Today, most of the shows in the metro and two-tier cities are either sold out or fast-filling.
Going by these advance ticket sales, Conjuring 4 is expected to make a great start at the Indian box office. Reportedly, it is expected to collect a gross of Rs. 20 crores on the first day, which is huge.
Horror films promise a good theatrical experience, and moreover, The Conjuring is a successful horror franchise. The first two parts were huge hits, while the third part ended up as an average. Due to the success of its predecessors, Conjuring: The Last Rites has taken a flying start in India and if it manages to get a good talk, it might end up as yet another 100-crore grosser like F1 and Jurassic World.
