Mirai Producer Reacts to ‘Arunachalam’ Trolls

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad is an NRI who wanted to produce films out of his passion for cinema. He has been in the movie industry for quite some time, making films every year. However, he faced a lot of criticism in the initial days, where people laughed at him for not focusing enough on a successful IT career. But today, he produced Mirai, which became a big success at the box office. Sharing the experience of scoring a hit after back-to-back flops, Vishwa Prasad praised his director Karthik Ghattamaneni, the man behind Mirai.

TG Vishwa Prasad’s People Media Factory faced a lot of failures in 2024. More than half a dozen films they released last year failed miserably at the box office. It also resulted in a lot of trolls and criticism against him for spending money like water. People even joked that he has a lot of money like in the film Arunachalam and he has to spend it. But he shut down those comments, making it clear that nothing of that sort is true.

Having started his life with small job and worked his way up to where he is now, he knows the true value of money. He added that he is very clear about how to spend it and how to earn it back.

On the other hand, Vishwa Prasad feels proud of taking a decision to collaborate with Karthik Ghattamaneni on Mirai. The producer cited two reasons and one being the scale on which the film could be made which impressed him. The second reason is Karthik’s way of handling a particular scene in Karthikeya 2. A fight sequence has to be shot in a snow filled mountain area for which they have less budget. Karthik who is the cinematographer of the film, stepped in to handle the situation and shot it beautifully with the help of VFX.

Based on that incident and some other interactions with Karthik while working on multiple films including Eagle, the producer decided to go ahead with Karthik Ghattamaneni for Mirai. The film is now being praised by everyone especially for the VFX work.

Finally, the wait for success came to an end for the production house and they have Raja Saab, Telusu Kada, Maryadha Krishnayya and Mowgli lined up for a release.
