One of the surprise of the blockbuster Mirai has been the powerful voice over by Rebel Star Prabhas. His narration, which introduces the story by drawing from mythology and epics, struck a chord not only with his fans but also with general audiences. Many felt it sounded sharper and more impactful than his usual film dubbing.
Interestingly, some viewers noticed that Prabhas’ dialogue delivery in Mirai was faster and more energetic than his typical style. This sparked speculation online that AI might have been used to recreate or enhance his voice.
However, director Karthik Ghattamneni clarified the truth. He confirmed that Prabhas himself recorded the entire voice over for Mirai. The only change, he explained, was that the team slightly increased the speed using technology to shorten the runtime of the narration.
With that clarification, the AI rumors were put to rest. Still, audiences continue to discuss how the slightly faster tone made Prabhas’ voice sound better than usual. Even though he is a massive star, debates around his dialogue delivery have never really stopped. Now fans are left wondering if a little more speed might actually make his voice performances stronger in future projects.
