Indian cinema is slowly changing the way stories are told. Just one film is no longer enough to excite the audience. People now enjoy sequels, crossover films, and cinematic universes, where different stories are linked together. This idea is working well in many film industries. Recently, the Malayalam film Lokah, which is part of a superhero universe, became a big hit.
Now, a similar buzz has started in Telugu cinema. The talk is about director Sujeeth’s new film They Call Him OG and his earlier film Saaho, which starred Prabhas. Fans are wondering if these two films are secretly connected.
The trailer of They Call Him OG was released today after a short delay. Soon after, fans noticed scenes and references that reminded them of Saaho. Social media was filled with comparisons and theories. Some fans even guessed that both films might belong to the same world.
Sources close to the film revealed that there will be a link between Saaho and OG. But it won’t be a complete crossover, and Prabhas will not appear in a cameo. Instead, Sujeeth has planned subtle connections, which audiences can experience only on the big screen. If this idea works, it could be the beginning of a new cinematic universe in Telugu cinema.
They Call Him OG stars Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj. The film is written and directed by Sujeeth, with music by Thaman S. It is produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainments.
