Young hero Roshan is gearing up for the release of his ongoing film Champion. Billed to be a period sports drama helmed by National Award-winning director Pradeep Advaitham, the film is nearing completion with its shoot.
The makers have now announced that Champion will hit the screens on December 25, perfectly timed to capitalize on the Christmas and New Year season. It’s certainly a fortunate release window, giving Champion a prime spot during the holiday festivities. Roshan makes a stylish entry in the release poster, stepping off an aircraft in a belted dark overcoat.
The story of Champion promises both the adrenaline of sports drama and the heart of a love story, anchored by Roshan’s makeover and mature performance, as hinted by the glimpse.
The film, produced jointly by Swapna Cinemas, Anandi Art Creations, and Concept Films, is presented by Zee Studios. It features Anaswara Rajan playing the leading lady opposite Roshan.
The very experienced R Madhie cranks the camera, while Mickey J Meyer who is known for his soulful music provides the soundtracks. Senior art director Thota Tharani is also part of the film’s core team.
