Ever since social media platforms like Instagram and X introduced the concept of sharing region-specific posts, many sporting leagues have started posting region-specific pictures to target the audiences of that particular territory. We have seen this trend for Tennis leagues like Wimbledon, the French Open and Football Leagues like the English Premier League.
Following the trend, popular EPL team Manchester City recently shared a video reel as a tribute to its legendary player, Yaya Touré. Using a popular scene from Mahesh Babu’s film Athadu, Man City made a reel to elevate Yaya Touré. This crossover video of Tanikella Bharani from Athadu elevating Yaya Touré went viral on social media in no time.
Mahesh Babu fans are super surprised and elated to see such a tribute using their favourite hero’s film clip. Soon, they started spreading the video like wildfire on social media.
It has to be noted that this post is targeted only at Indians and will not be visible on Manchester City’s social media handles in other countries.
Coming back to Mahesh Babu, the actor is currently working with director SS Rajamouli for a globe-trotting action-adventure film. Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran are playing other key roles in it.
