After Bollywood, the Telugu film industry is one of the highest paying industries to its cast and crew. After the stars, directors pocket a handsome money as their remunerations in the industry.
Whilst SS Rajamouli is the undisputed highest payer among directors in Telugu, Trivikram Srinivas who recently scored industry hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is standing second among the highest paid directors.
Now, joining the legion is writer-turned-director Koratala Siva. Notwithstanding the Covid pandemic and the implications surrounding the market, these top directors, who are in high demand, are the ones who take big cheques to their homes.
Buzz in industry circles is that Koratala Siva is charging a bomb for his next with Allu Arjun. Siva is said to be taking a whopping Rs 15 Crore remuneration for this film. This is considered to be third highest remuneration for a director in Tollywood after directors SS Rajamouli and Trivikram Srinivas. Siva is currently directing Chiranjeevi in Acharya.
After Acharya, Siva will move onto Bunny’s film. The film’s producer Sudhakar Mikkilneni is Koratala Siva’s childhood friend and hence they have a good understanding on remunerations and the film’s overall budget.
Allu Arjun is eagerly waiting to team up with Siva after his ongoing Pushpa with Sukumar. Allu Arjun and Koratala Siva’s combo is the first collaboration of the duo and hence it carries a lot of hype and buzz among the trade.
