DVV Danayya’s Success Beyond the Noise

DVV Danayya is one of the successful producers in Telugu cinema. Having begun his career long back under several banners, he is currently producing films on the DVV Entertainments banner. The last big film from his production is They Call Him OG, which became a big hit at the box office. But the producer is facing criticism despite registering a blockbuster for some unnecessary reasons, and this is not the first time.

For the last two days, there have been speculations that director Sujeeth and producer Danayya were not on the same page with regard to the production activities and the budget allocation of the project, OG. Due to the differences, Sujeeth reportedly had to spend some money out of his pocket to complete the shoot and also help with the production.

However, Danayya remained silent on these speculations, but Sujeeth released a press note, assuring full support to Danayya and smoothly refuting all the rumors. In fact, a few stated that these differences are a reason why Sujeeth’s project with Nani which was supposed to be bankrolled by Danayya had moved to a different production.

In the past, when RRR Oscar campaigning was happening at an aggressive pace, Danayya was criticized. Many opined that team SSR and Danayya were not on the same page, and in fact, Danayya was not willing to sponsor the Oscar campaigning of the project, resulting in team RRR distancing itself from Danayya.

DVV was least seen in the US and at several events of the Oscars back then. SSR or any of his team members chose to remain silent, but Danayya felt compelled to defend himself, explaining that he prefers not to participate in all events and prefers to stay off the stage. He also dismissed rumors of internal differences within the team.

Post the release of RRR and the Oscars campaign, Danayya was the most wanted producer. Since RRR is one of the prestigious projects in the nation, everyone had their eyes on the film and the company that produced it. However, several media opinions suggested that Danayya did not receive sufficient credit for the film, despite producing it himself. However, he quickly made Saripodhaa Sanivaram and tasted a hit, proving to everyone that he is not a producer who earns success by fluke.

When OG was announced, everyone expected that it is Danayya’s answer to anyone who thinks the role of a producer is just sponsoring the project. In the most crucial time, Danayya acquired the dates of Pawan Kalyan and even brought Sujeeth on board. Today, following the film’s success and the conclusion of its theatrical run, the producer is in the news for some unnecessary reasons.

No one can judge whether Danayya is to blame or at fault, but ultimately, he delivered some massive blockbusters, and his contributions and efforts cannot be diminished. At the moment, Danayya is not in a hurry to set up his next project, but when he announces a film again, it surely will bring all the attention.
