Release date changes have become quite common in Tollywood, and Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara is the latest to join that list. Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu and produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, the film has seen several delays before arriving at what now seems to be its final release plan.
Initially promoted as Ravi Teja’s 75th film, Mass Jathara was first scheduled for a Sankranthi release. It was later moved to May 9 after the actor sustained an injury during the shoot. The release was then postponed again to August 27 due to OTT scheduling conflicts.
After the below-par performance of Naga Vamsi’s recent films Kingdom and War 2, the team decided to hold back Mass Jathara to avoid a negative atmosphere around the film. The new plan was to release it on October 31, with paid premieres a day earlier.
However, the re-cut and remastered Baahubali: The Epic is also set to release on the same date. Given the strong audience interest in the Baahubali franchise, the Mass Jathara team is reportedly considering a minor shift to avoid the clash.
Sources suggest that the new release date is likely November 1, with paid premieres on October 31. The decision is said to be nearly final, and an official confirmation is expected soon.
Mass Jathara features Ravi Teja, Sreeleela, and Rajendra Prasad in lead roles, with music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. The film is directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu and produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments.
