Telangana’s YouTube sensation, Naga Durga, who shot to fame with many folk songs, bagged her first offer as a lead actress. She will be making her acting debut in Tamil, alongside Dhanush’s nephew, Pavish. The movie was launched today by Dhanush’s father, Kasturi Raja. It will be directed by Magesh Rajendran.
Naga Durga was shot to wide fame with the viral Telangana folk song, “Daripontothundu”, which garnered over 100 million views on YouTube in just five months. She also enjoys a good following of over 223k on Instagram, thanks to her viral folk songs. It is heard that apart from Tamil, Naga Durga is also set to make her Telugu debut soon.
Meanwhile, Pavish made his acting debut earlier this year with Dhanush’s directorial film “Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam”(Jabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama in Telugu). This is indeed a good offer for the rooted Telangana girl in Tamil, and it remains to be seen how her career shapes up from here. Touted to be a breezy romantic comedy appealing to the Gen-Z, this movie’s regular shoot will begin soon.
