Producer Gifts BMW for Tourist Family Director’s Wedding

Magesh Raj Pasilian, one of the young producers making waves in Tamil cinema, has built a reputation for backing small-budget films that perform well both critically and commercially. His previous productions, Good Night, Lover and Tourist Family, have also found a strong audience among Telugu audience through OTT releases.

Tourist Family, directed by Abishan Jeevinth, released earlier this year and turned into one of 2025’s biggest hits. Made for under ₹5 crore, the film grossed around ₹75 crore at the box office and received widespread praise from audiences, critics and celebrities for its heart warming drama.

Ahead of Abishan’s wedding on October 31, Magesh Raj Pasilian gifted him a BMW car as a wedding present and as a token of appreciation for their successful collaboration. Photos of Abishan with the car have been circulating online, recieving congratulatory messages from fans and industry peers.

With Tourist Family, Abishan has established himself as a promising filmmaker in Tamil cinema. The film’s strong box-office run despite its limited budget has become a talking point within the industry.

Meanwhile, Abishan is now set to play the lead in his next project, directed by Madhan in his debut. The film, which also stars Anaswara Rajan, has completed shooting and is produced once again by Magesh Raj Pasilian. The title and release date are expected to be announced soon.
