Prakash Raj’s Film Advances Taken Back?

Prakash Raj is known as much for his acting as for his strong political opinions. Over the years, he has regularly criticised the BJP government and Prime Minister Modi. Despite facing criticism for his political comments, the actor has continued to express his views without hesitation.

His political stand has also become a topic of discussion in Telugu states. Prakash Raj has criticised the TDP and Janasena alliance in Andhra Pradesh whenever he disagreed with their political positions. His comments on national politics have often attracted strong reactions on social media.

There have been discussions about whether his political views are affecting his film career. Prakash Raj was reportedly removed from a few projects, including Prabhas’ Spirit. However, there was no clear confirmation that his political opinions were the reason behind these developments.

Now, his wife Pony Verma has made some interesting revelations about the difficulties he faced because of his stand. She explained that Prakash Raj became more vocal about social and political issues after a prominent journalist allegedly was murdered.

According to Pony Verma, the incident deeply affected him, and he felt that he could not remain silent about things happening around him. She also said that he faced threats and lost several film opportunities because of his outspoken nature.

Pony Verma further revealed that Prakash Raj was removed from certain films even after receiving advances. She claimed that producers had given him advances but later took them back and dropped him from their projects.

Despite these experiences, Prakash Raj has not changed his approach. Pony made it clear that he is not someone who compromises on his principles. Her comments have once again brought attention to the possible impact of an actor’s political views on film opportunities.
