It is well known that Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga are collaborating on a film titled Spirit. On Prabhas’ birthday, Sandeep released an audio teaser that went viral for its tone and for calling Prabhas “India’s Biggest Superstar.”
The teaser received a largely positive response in the South, but reactions were mixed in the North. Some questioned how Prabhas could be called India’s biggest superstar when Shah Rukh Khan has long been recognized globally as the country’s leading star.
The discussion didn’t end there. On Sunday, November 2, a new teaser from King, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, directed by Pathaan and Fighter filmmaker Siddharth Anand, was released. The teaser didn’t include any direct tags, but Siddharth Anand’s post on X drew attention.
He wrote, “When stars go beyond being just a superstar, they are called King. Happy Birthday INDIA’s KING, Shah Rukh Khan,” sharing a photo with the actor.
Though he didn’t mention anyone directly, many interpreted it as a subtle response to the “India’s Biggest Superstar” label used for Prabhas. Online discussions quickly turned it into a possible rivalry between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Siddharth Anand.
Some believe that Sandeep, known for his outspoken nature, might react to it soon. Interestingly, Siddharth Anand was once in talks to direct Prabhas for a film under Mythri Movie Makers, but the project was shelved in its early stages.
