Dude OTT Release Date Locked – Details Inside

Tamil actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest film Dude continues his streak of successful releases. The film hit theatres on October 17 during the Diwali season and received a positive response from audiences. It went on to collect around ₹100 crore at the box office, becoming his third consecutive film to cross the milestone.

Following the success of his earlier films, Dude was also acquired by Netflix for digital streaming. The platform reportedly bought the rights for a high price before the film’s theatrical release. Netflix has been following a shorter theatrical window policy, where major films arrive on the platform four weeks after release. Dude follows the same pattern.

The film will be available for streaming on Netflix from Friday, November 14. An official announcement will be made soon. While this shorter gap benefits streaming platform subscribers, some in the trade believe it affects the theatrical run and limits the big-screen viewing experience.

Directed by Keerthiswaran, Dude features Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, R. Sarath Kumar, and Hridhu Haroon in key roles. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s next release is LIK: Life Insurance Kompany, a futuristic romantic comedy directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 18. After completing this project, Pradeep will return to direction with a new sci-fi film, in which he will also play the lead role.
