Manjummel Boys Sweeps Kerala State Film Awards 2025

The winners of the 55th Kerala State Film Awards were announced on Monday in Thrissur. Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian made the announcement at the Kerala Sahitya Academy Hall. Out of 128 films submitted, 38 were shortlisted for the final round. Actor-filmmaker Prakash Raj headed the jury, which also included Ranjan Pramod, Jibu Jacob, Bhagyalakshmi, Gayathri Ashokan, Nithin Lukose, Santhosh Echikkanam and C Ajoy.

Mammootty won the Best Actor (Male) award for Bramayugam, marking his ninth win in this category. Shamla Hamza bagged Best Actor (Female) for Feminichi Fathima. Manjummel Boys emerged as the biggest winner, securing ten awards including Best Film, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Chidambaram.
