Sandeep Reddy Vanga is RGV ka Baap: SS Rajamouli

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga made a strong impact with just three films to his credit. After his debut film Arjun Reddy with Vijay Devarakonda emerged as a sensational box office hit despite its bold narrative, Sandeep became one of the most-sought-after directors in Tollywood. He made a big statement in Bollywood too with back-to-back hits with Kabir Singh and Animal. 

Sandeep Reddy’s irrerevent attitude and cheeky mannerisms while handling his critics puts him in the league of maverick director Ram Gopal Varma. Quite often, audience and industry people compare Sandeep with RGV because the former never hesitates to express his opinions during media interactions just like the latter. RGV also admires Sandeep’s craft and conviction. 

Even India’s biggest director SS Rajamouli rates Sandeep Reddy very high. During a movie event Rajamouli compared him with RGV and said such directors come once in a blue moon. Interestingly, the same Rajamouli called Sandeep Reddy as ‘RGV ka Baap’ after the release of Animal. This was revealed by RGV himself during the recent round table discussion with Nagarjuna and Sandeep Reddy as part of promotions for Shiva 4K.

Rajamouli has reportedly liked the way Sandeep goes against the conventional style of filmmaking with respect to characters and scenes in his writing and made him compare with RGV. This shows the impact created by Sandeep Reddy and the respect he earned from some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry after directing just three films.
