Fans are rejoicing in the experience of watching the film in remastered 4K and Dolby Atmos versions in theatres.
Many single screens in Hyderabad, including Devi 70mm, Sudarshan 35mm, Sree Ramulu, Mythri Vimal, Brahmarambha and Sai Ram, witnessed houseful for the early morning shows. Meanwhile, theatres like Devi, Brahmarambha and Sree Ramulu went housefull for almost all shows today. The trends are looking good in these theatres throughout the weekend.
Many youngsters of the 90s and the 2000s generation didn’t get a chance to witness Shiva on the big screen. They are all rejoicing that the experience is now in theatres. On the other side, people who watched it 36 years back in theatres are reliving their memories. All these fans are sharing their experiences of watching Shiva in theatres once again, amidst the euphoria. Especially, Akkineni fans are elated by the response and are creating a festive atmosphere in theatres.
Shiva’s director Ram Gopal Varma watched the film this morning at Devi 70mm, the very same theatre where the film was released 36 years ago. It was a memorable experience for him as well.
On the whole, Shiva opened to a positive response and is expected to register good numbers at the box office, which is a terrific feat for a film released 36 years ago.
