One of the most popular couples in Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, were in the news for the last few years due to divorce rumours. It has been widely reported that Abhishek and Aishwarya are opting for a divorce and also not living with each other.
It was reported that Aishwarya has been living separately with her daughter Aradhya, and rumours also suggested that Abhishek has been dating actress Nimrat Kaur after parting ways with Aishwarya. Although both of them have indirectly dismissed these rumours several times, the speculations continued to circulate for a while.
Amidst these rumours, we now hear that the couple are reuniting on screen for a new film. According to the latest grapevine in the B-Town, Abhishek and Aishwarya will act together in an upcoming Hindi film, which will be a remake of the 1973 movie Abhimaan. If the news is true, the film would mark the onscreen reunion of Abishek and Aishwarya after 15 years. They were last seen together in the 2010 film, Ravan.
Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Abhimaan featured Abhishek’s parents Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in lead roles. It showcases the singing couple whose marriage is on the verge of collapse, and how they overcome challenges to find their way back to each other. Thus, fans are pretty excited to see them together in this remake. As of now, the news is a rumour, and it remains to be seen if an official announcement will be made anytime soon.
