Suriya to Give Green Signal to Another Telugu Director?

Of late, Tamil heroes are increasingly showing keen interest to work on bilinguals with Telugu directors. After KV Anudeep teamed up with Siva Karthikeya for Prince, Venky Atluri joined hands with Dhanush for Sir and now working with Suriya for an upcoming film. 

Meanwhile, another interesting buzz is making rounds in industry circles. As per these reports, talented Telugu director Vivek Athreya, who is credited with films like Brochevaruevarura, Ante Sundraniki and Saripodha Sanivaaram, has initiated talks with Suriya for his next film. Sources revealed that Vivek recently met Suriya and narrated the story. 

The Retro actor has reportedly liked the script and evinced interest to work with him. But, nothing is finalized so far. Vivek Athreya is waiting for a final nod from Suriya to go ahead with his plans. 

As Suriya is currently busy working on Venky Atluri’s film, it is unclear if he works again with a Telugu director for his immediate next film. Moreover, there were previously rumours that Vivek Athreya has narrated a script to Superstar Rajinikanth. But, the project didn’t get any announcement so far. 

Suriya is aiming for a strong comeback after tasting a series of flops. He is very confident about Venky Atluri’s film. It remains to be seen if he continues to encourage Telugu directors by giving green signal to Vivek Athreya or if he works with a Tamil director up next.
