Manchu Manoj has started a new journey in the world of music with his new venture Mohana Raga Music. This launch is very special for him because music has always been close to his heart. Manoj says this dream has been growing inside him and his family for many years.
As an actor, Manoj created his own space in Telugu cinema. From his days as a child actor to films like Bindaas, Current Theega and Potugadu, he earned a name for his energetic and different style of acting. He is known for doing his own stunts and for getting deeply involved in the creative side of filmmaking.
Music has always been a personal passion for him. Manoj has sung songs like Pyar Mein Padipoya in Potugadu and released the soothing song Antha Baguntamra during the pandemic. He has also written lyrics for songs such as Pistha Pistha, Yenno Yenno and Pranam Poye Badha. His raw and expressive voice reflects his emotional style.
Manoj has also worked behind the scenes in music and action departments for many films made by his father Dr Manchu Mohan Babu, his brother Manchu Vishnu and his sister Lakshmi Manchu. He has even done rap parts in several family projects. His work with Achu Rajamani for the Hollywood film Basmati Blues starring Brie Larson widened his creative path further.
With Mohana Raga Music, Manoj wants to bring together his family legacy and a fresh new vision. The label aims to support new talent, encourage experimental music and create original songs that connect with different cultures. The name Mohana Raga is emotionally meaningful for both Manoj and his father.
