Suriya’s Sikandar Director Reveals Reason Behind It’s Failure

Suriya tasted many flops in his career, and Anjaan is one of them. It was released as Sikander in Telugu. Lingusamy is the director of the movie. Now, the film is heading for a grand re-release soon. Meanwhile, Lingusamy shared the criticism that he went through during the time of release.

“Anjaan was the most trolled film 11 Years back. I don’t have fear now, because they abused me over these years with all the bad words. During the release, I didn’t have the proper time to edit as announced. 100% agree that I had made a mistake,” shared Lingusamy.

The release day tensions and the pressure on the director were huge back at that time. Suriya was also riding high with hits. The team did not have enough time to spend on the post-production work. Despite getting mixed reactions at the time of release, Anjaan received a good talk after years. Some fans even term it as a cult film of Suriya today.

Now that the film is heading for a re-release with the trimmed version, let us hope that the film gets its due at theatres.
